If life hasn’t been treating you or your loved ones well lately, it may be time to learn and perform a potent banishing ritual. Banishing can be performed towards people, spiritual beings, and even situations and circumstances that stand on the way of personal growth and peace. To perform the New moon banishing spell, you will need:
- A physical representation of whatever you are trying to banish (e.g. a photo, an object reminding you of a situation, or something that belongs to a toxic person in your life)
- A mortar & pestle
- A charcoal briquette
- A black candle
And this is how you perform the New moon banishing spell:
When the moon is out, gather your supplies and find a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted. Cast your circle if you wish to do so, light your candle and slightly burn the charcoal tablet (be careful).
Place the charcoal and the object in the mortar. Crush the charcoal with the pestle and smear over the object, focusing your banishing energy on the process. Then, when the charcoal is crushed, destroy the object in any way you like (if it’s unsafe to destroy, deface or bury it).
Once it’s done, take some time to meditate, watching the flame of the candle and letting go of the negative energy.
Blow the candle and rest.
