Sabbat Rituals
Many practicing Wiccans celebrate the eight Sabbats, which regularly fall throughout the year. They can be divided into two categories – Greater/Lesser and Fertility/Harvest. The four major Sabbats are celebrated throughout the year and can be broadly associated with the four seasons and how the wheel of life turns throughout the year. Different covens and solitary practitioners celebrate Sabbats with their own rituals and practices. Each one helps you to connect to the different cyclical energies that are present throughout the year. The beautiful thing about celebrating at Sabbats – whether you are solitary or part of a group or coven, is the sense of connection to other practitioners, as well as to the universal cycles of life-death-life. Please remember that you do not have to be part of a coven or ritual working group to celebrate. There are many ways to honour the energies of each Sabbat whether you are working as a solitary or as part of a group.
